GirlStart at Pearson Elementary

GirlStart kicked off its second year at Pearson Elementary! Enrollment is open to 4th and 5th grade female students. GirlStart incorporates STEM skills during weekly club meetings. One of our goals is to ignite an interest in STEM electives, majors and careers through weekly innovative and fun activities that target specific science TEKS. Our club members had an opportunity to recreate projects from this past semester and presented to parents and staff during their end of semester exhibition.

MHS Visits Pearson Elementary

The Mission High School Cheerleaders, High Flyers, Drum Line, and Football Team paid a visit to Pearson Elementary to kick off Drug Free Week. Students enjoyed music, dancing, and motivational speakers during the event. Thank you Mission High School for spending the morning with the future of MHS!

Programmed for Greatness

4th and 5th grade students at Pearson Elementary gathered after school to try out in the hopes of becoming part of MCISD’s reigning robotics champions the Pearson Microbots. Along with Co-Coach Zeke Gutierrez, Mr. Garza will assemble his 2016-2017 Microbots team after evaluating each student’s strengths and weaknesses. Good luck… and my the odds be ever in your favor!
